Terræner is a neologism used primarily in speculative fiction and world-building to denote an Earth-origin person or an Earth-centric culture in settings featuring multiple planets or terraformed worlds. The form blends terra, Latin for earth, with a nominal suffix and the ligature æ to evoke a classical, archaic feel. It is less common than the widely used English term Terran, and its usage is often stylistic rather than terminological.

Two primary senses have circulated: (1) a demonym for inhabitants descended from Earth on another world; (2) an adjective or noun describing Earth-like or Earth-origin aspects within a colony or terraformed ecology. In many works, terræner coexist with other planetary identifiers such as Martian or Jovian, helping to signal cultural or political affiliations as well as biology.

In practice, terræner appears mainly in discussions of language and world-building, and in fan communities that favor neoclassical or pseudo-Latin spellings. Because it is not standardized, readers may encounter variations or overlap with the more common Terran, or with the German-form Terraner in translations.
