Teliosporal is a term used in mycology, specifically within the study of rust fungi (Pucciniales). It refers to a specific type of spore that develops within the telium, which is the fruiting structure of the rust fungus. Teliospores are typically thick-walled and are often referred to as resting spores. They are the overwintering stage for many rust fungi, allowing them to survive unfavorable environmental conditions.

The teliospore is a crucial component of the rust fungus life cycle. It is typically produced in pairs, joined together, although single teliospores can also occur depending on the species.
