Talget is a term used in Nordic linguistic and mathematical contexts to refer to a number or the act of counting. It is not a standard modern form in all varieties of Norwegian, Danish, or Swedish; rather, talget appears as a dialectal or historical variant of the common noun for a number. The most widely used modern forms for “the number” vary by language.
