sídlí

Sídlí is a Czech verb form meaning “is located” or “has its headquarters.” It is the third person singular present tense of the verb sídlit. The noun sídlo means a seat, base, or headquarters, and sídlí is used to indicate the place where a person or organization is legally based or operates from.

In everyday and official Czech, sídlí is used with organizations such as companies, municipalities, or institutions. For example: Společnost sídlí v Praze. Městská knihovna sídlí v Brně. In legal language, sídlo of a company refers to its registered address, while other addresses may describe where it conducts business or operates (provozovna). A company may have its sídlo in one city and its activities in another.
