Sähkökeskittymien, often translated as electrical distribution boards or fuse boxes, are essential components of any electrical system. They serve as the central hub where electricity from the main power supply is distributed to various circuits within a building or structure. These systems are designed to protect electrical wiring and appliances from damage caused by overcurrents or short circuits.

A typical sähkökeskittymä contains a main switch that controls the entire supply to the board, and then a series of smaller switches or circuit breakers.
