Szívvezetrendszer refers to the system responsible for generating and conducting electrical impulses within the heart, enabling coordinated contractions. This system is also known as the cardiac conduction system. Its primary function is to ensure that the heart beats in a regular and efficient rhythm, pumping blood throughout the body.

The key components of the szívvezetrendszer include the sinoatrial (SA) node, the atrioventricular (AV) node, the bundle of His, bundle branches, and Purkinje fibers. The SA node, located in the right atrium, acts as the heart's natural pacemaker, initiating the electrical impulse. This impulse then spreads across the atria, causing them to contract.

The impulse then reaches the AV node, situated between the atria and ventricles. Here, there is a brief delay, allowing the ventricles to fill completely with blood before they contract. From the AV node, the impulse travels down the bundle of His, which divides into the left and right bundle branches. These branches carry the electrical signal to the ventricles. Finally, the Purkinje fibers distribute the impulse throughout the ventricular muscle, triggering a coordinated contraction that pumps blood out of the heart. Disruptions in the szívvezetrendszer can lead to various arrhythmias, or irregular heartbeats.
