Szorzatuk is a Hungarian term meaning “their product,” formed from szorzat, the word for product or the operation of multiplication, with the possessive suffix -uk for third-person plural. It is used to refer to the result of multiplying a group of elements whose ownership or reference is plural, such as a set of numbers or expressions.

In mathematical language, szorzat denotes both the multiplication operation and the resulting value when factors are multiplied. Szorzatuk can thus describe the product of a list or collection of factors. The phrase is most natural when discussing the product of several elements, for example a, b, c, where their szorzatuk is a × b × c. Depending on context, szorzat (or szorzatuk) may be used interchangeably with termék, though some contexts distinguish szorzat as the operation or the product of factors, while termék refers more generally to a product.

The concept extends beyond numbers to other algebraic structures. In linear algebra, one speaks of the matrix szorzat (matrix product); in polynomial algebra, the szorzat of polynomials is the product of their expressions. In such settings, szorzatuk describes the product of a finite sequence of elements within a given structure, with associativity and commutativity properties carrying over from the underlying operation.
