Synchrotroner is a hypothetical quasi-particle postulated in speculative accelerator physics and high-field quantum electrodynamics. The term denotes a neutral, weakly interacting boson believed to be associated with the electromagnetic fields and radiation produced in a synchrotron as charged particles travel along curved trajectories. The name derives from the synchrotron mechanism that generates intense radiation when particles are bent by magnetic fields.

In theoretical models, a synchrotroner would arise as a collective excitation of the electromagnetic field or as a bound state involving photons in the strong-field environment of a circular accelerator. Proposed properties include a small rest mass, long mean free path in ultra-high vacuum, and feeble coupling to Standard Model particles. If real, synchrotroners would be emitted during bending or beam interactions and might carry energy away from the primary beam as a distinct channel from conventional radiation.

Status and search: there is no experimental confirmation of synchrotroners. Researchers have proposed potential indirect signatures, such as unexplained energy-loss channels, anomalous beam dynamics, or spectral features in detectors that differ from quantum-electrodynamics predictions.
