Superpositionality refers to the principle that in certain systems, a combination of valid states can exist simultaneously. This concept is most prominently discussed in quantum mechanics. According to quantum superposition, a quantum system, such as an electron or a photon, can exist in multiple states at once until a measurement is made. For example, an electron can be in a superposition of spin-up and spin-down states until its spin is measured, at which point it collapses into one definite state.
