sulfidirakkuloiden
Sulfidirakkuloiden, a Finnish term, translates to "sulfide nodules" in English. These geological formations are typically found in sedimentary rocks, particularly in marine environments. They are characterized by their rounded or irregular shapes and are composed primarily of sulfide minerals, most commonly pyrite (iron sulfide) or marcasite, another form of iron sulfide.
These nodules form through a process called diagenesis, which occurs after the sediment has been deposited
Sulfidirakkuloiden can vary significantly in size, ranging from a few millimeters to several centimeters in diameter.
