Subventrikulära refers to anatomical structures located below or beneath the ventricles of the brain. The brain contains two large lateral ventricles and two smaller, midline ventricles: the third and fourth ventricles. These fluid-filled cavities are crucial for the production and circulation of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). Structures described as subventricular are therefore situated in the regions directly inferior to these ventricular spaces.
