It refers to a sequence or arrangement of electrical components, such as resistors, capacitors, or inductors, where the voltage across each component is related in a specific way. This relationship is typically governed by Kirchhoff's voltage law, which states that the sum of the voltage drops across all components in a closed loop is equal to the total voltage supplied to the loop.

In a simple spänningsserie circuit, components are connected end-to-end, forming a single path for current to flow.
