soolalahuse
Soolalahuse is a sterile saline solution, an aqueous mixture of sodium chloride (NaCl) dissolved in water. The term is commonly used in Estonian medical practice and in English-language texts as saline solution. The most widely used concentration is isotonic saline, 0.9% w/v NaCl, which provides about 154 mEq/L of sodium and chloride and is osmotically compatible with human blood plasma.
Other concentrations include hypotonic solutions such as 0.45% NaCl and hypertonic saline such as 3% or higher
Preparation and quality: Soolalahuse is manufactured under sterile, pyrogen-free conditions. It is available as ready-to-use sterile
Uses: It serves as an intravenous infusion fluid for hydration and electrolyte management; a diluent for medications;
Safety: Used appropriately, saline is generally safe; risks include infection from contamination, local irritation, and electrolyte
