A slitter is a machine used in manufacturing to cut large rolls of material into narrower widths. These machines are essential in industries that process materials like paper, plastic film, foil, textiles, and metal. The process, known as slitting, involves passing the wide master roll through a series of sharp cutting blades mounted on rotating shafts. After cutting, the narrower rolls are rewound onto separate cores.
