Skilað is the past participle of the Icelandic verb skila, meaning to deliver, hand in, submit, or yield. In contemporary Icelandic, skilað marks that the act of delivering has been completed. It is used with auxiliary hafa to form perfect tenses, for example, Ég hef skilað verkefninu (I have submitted the assignment). It can also appear in passive constructions with a form of vera, as in Verkið var skilað (The work was delivered/submitted).
