sisäpaikallissijamuoto is a grammatical case in the Finnish language that indicates a location within something. It is one of the three local cases, alongside the outer locative and the separative. The inner locative is used to denote a position inside a physical space, an enclosed area, or a more abstract concept of being within.

The inner locative case is typically formed by adding the suffix -ssa or -ssä to the stem of a noun. The choice between -ssa and -ssÄ depends on vowel harmony, with -ssa used after back vowels (a, o, u) and -ssä used after front vowels (ä, ö, y). For example, "talo" (house) becomes "talossa" (in the house), and "metsä" (forest) becomes "metsässä" (in the forest).

This case is used with prepositions or independently to express being inside a building, a room, a container, a country, or even within a group or a period of time. For instance, "kirja on pöydällä" (the book is on the table) uses the adessive case, but "kirja on laatikossa" (the book is in the box) uses the inner locative.
