Silikonlim is a term with limited usage and does not denote a single widely recognized device in English-language medical literature. In Turkish-language contexts it may refer to silicone limb prostheses or to related concepts involving silicone materials used in limb replacement.

Silicone limb prostheses are devices that replace missing parts of an arm or leg using a silicone elastomer exterior skin. The outer layer is tinted and textured to resemble natural skin and is designed to be flexible and lifelike. Inside, a rigid or semi-rigid framework provides structure and connects to the residual limb or to a prosthetic interface. The skin layer is typically formed to fit a customized socket or attachment system and may be reinforced or coated to improve durability.

Application and attachment: Most silicone limb prostheses are socket-based, held in place by mechanical suspension, harness, or magnetic systems. In some medical contexts, osseointegrated implants are used to attach a prosthetic limb directly to bone. Silicone components are common in cosmetic covers and in some functional devices where appearance and tactile feel matter as well as basic movement.

Advantages and limitations: Silicone skins provide a natural appearance, soft touch, and potential for immersion or washing. They are gentle on the skin but can be susceptible to tearing, color fading, and UV degradation over time. High cost and maintenance needs are common considerations, as is the need for professional fitting and periodic replacement of worn parts.
