sijainneen

Sijainneen is a term sometimes encountered in discussions of Finnish morphology. It is not a standard dictionary entry and has no widely agreed meaning in modern Finnish. In linguistic contexts, sijainneen is described as a hypothetical participial-nominal form connected to the noun sijainti (location). Some analysts suggest that it could express “the located one” or denote a thing that has been located, functioning either as an adjective or as a nominalized phrase. Because Finnish normally expresses location with the noun sijainti or with case forms such as sijainnissa or sijainnin, sijainneen remains mainly of theoretical interest and is rarely used in everyday language.

Formation and interpretation: If the form existed in historical or dialectal Finnish, it would presumably be built by adding a participial-like suffix to the base sijainti.
