Sauvatosaset is a monotypic genus of flowering plants in the family Asteraceae. The sole species, Sauvatosaset rubrea, is a small, herbaceous perennial native to the highland grasslands of the Ethiopian plateau. The plant grows to a height of 15–25 centimetres and produces bright orange to red capitula that open in late summer. Its leaves are oval, serrated, and arranged in a basal rosette. The stems are simple, with a lightly pubescent indumentum.
The discovery of the genus occurred during a botanical survey in 1984 led by Dr. Linda M.
