Saldhösee is a glacial lake located in the Bernese Alps of Switzerland. Its name is derived from the Romansh language, meaning "salt lake," although the water itself is fresh. The lake is situated at an elevation of approximately 2,200 meters (7,200 feet) above sea level and is surrounded by rugged mountain peaks.
