Răspândirea (also written rspândirea without diacritics) is the Romanian noun for the act or process of spreading or dissemination. It is derived from the verb a răspândi, meaning to spread.

In science and everyday use, răspândirea describes how something propagates through space, a population, or communication channels. It is commonly used in epidemiology to refer to the spread of a disease within a community, in ecology to describe the distribution of organisms, and in sociology and information science to describe the diffusion of ideas, technologies, or cultural traits.
