rendíais

Rendíais is a verb form in Spanish. It is the second-person plural imperfect indicative of the verb rendir, and is used with the pronoun vosotros, a form common in Spain. In many dialects outside Spain, including most of Latin America, the corresponding past tense with ustedes would be rendían.

Rendir has several related meanings, including to yield or produce, to surrender, or to defeat in the sense of giving up resistance. The reflexive form rendirse means to surrender oneself. Rendíais, therefore, denotes that you all were yielding, used to yield, or used to surrender in the past.
