Regurgitációként is a term that refers to the act of bringing back up food or other substances from the stomach into the esophagus or mouth. This is a natural bodily function that can occur in various situations. In infants, regurgitation is common and often referred to as "spitting up." This is usually due to an immature digestive system and can be exacerbated by overfeeding or lying flat after a feeding. As babies grow, this typically resolves on its own.
