Regionale is an Italian adjective meaning regional or pertaining to a specific geographic region. It derives from Latin regionalis and changes form to agree with the noun it modifies (regionale, regionali). In Italian usage, it is a broad, everyday descriptor across many domains, from culture and cuisine to politics and geography.

In governmental and administrative language, regionale commonly appears in phrases such as governo regionale (regional government), consiglio regionale (regional council), giunta regionale (regional executive), and norme o leggi regionali (regional laws). In transportation, treni regionali are trains that serve local and intermediate stops within a defined region. In culture and economy, the term describes regional products, dishes, traditions, or dialects, as in prodotti regionali or piatti regionali, and regional varieties of a language or dialect (dialetti regionali, varietà regionali).
