Resis, also known as Resys or sometimes Resos, is a small, largely uninhabited island located in the southern Aegean Sea. It is part of the Dodecanese island group and falls under the administrative jurisdiction of the municipality of Symi. Geographically, Resis is situated between the islands of Symi and Rhodes, lying a few kilometers off the coast of Turkey.

The island is characterized by its rugged terrain and sparse vegetation, consisting mainly of low-lying shrubs and aromatic herbs. Its coastline is predominantly rocky, with small, secluded coves offering limited accessibility. Due to its minimal natural resources and lack of permanent settlements, Resis has historically played a minor role in regional affairs.
