Qoymaq is a Turkic verb meaning to put, place, or set. The form exists across Turkic languages with cognates such as Turkish koymak and Kazakh qoymaq (қоймақ). In Latin-script representations, q is often used to reflect the original velar stop /q/ found in many Turkic languages. Spelling and pronunciation vary by language and script.
