Pyramidology is a pseudoscience that explores the supposed mystical or occult properties of the Egyptian pyramids, particularly the Great Pyramid of Giza. Proponents, often called pyramidologists, believe these ancient structures hold hidden knowledge, astronomical alignments, or prophetic messages beyond their known architectural and historical significance.

The roots of modern pyramidology can be traced back to the 19th century with figures like John Taylor and later Charles Piazzi Smyth. Taylor proposed that the dimensions of the Great Pyramid encoded historical and prophetic information, including the date of its construction and future events. Piazzi Smyth, a Scottish astronomer, expanded on these ideas, claiming the pyramid's measurements related to the British Imperial units and contained prophecies.

Common themes in pyramidological theories include the idea that the pyramids were built by a lost civilization or extraterrestrial beings, that their internal chambers and passages have symbolic meanings related to spiritual journeys, and that their dimensions or proportions can be used for divination or healing. Despite extensive archaeological and historical research that explains the pyramids as tombs for pharaohs, pyramidology continues to attract interest in fringe circles. Mainstream Egyptology and archaeology consider pyramidological claims to be unfounded speculation lacking empirical evidence.
