Przycigny is a small settlement located in the southeastern part of Poland, within the administrative district of Gmina Skomlin in Złotoryja County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship. The village lies approximately 4 kilometres northwest of the gmina's central village and about 45 kilometres southwest of the regional capital Wrocław. Its population is estimated to be around 120 residents, forming a tight-knit community that largely engages in agricultural and forestry activities.

The history of Przyczyn is typical of many rural localities in the region, with documented references appearing in land registries from the late 17th century. During the period of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, the area was part of the Silesian Voivodeship and later fell under German administration following the Silesian Wars. After the end of World War II and the subsequent border adjustments, Przyczyn became part of modern Poland. The village was officially incorporated into the current administrative framework of the ŁSZ (Lower Silesian) Voivodeship in 1999. Over the past decades, residents have preserved traditional architectural styles, including wooden farmhouses and a small wooden cemetery dating back to the early 1800s.

Przyczyn lacks significant commercial infrastructure, and most everyday needs are met by nearby larger towns such as Niemcza and Złotoryja.
