protonpumpák
Proton pumpák, often referred to as proton pump inhibitors (PPIs), are a class of drugs that significantly reduce the production of stomach acid. They work by irreversibly blocking the action of the H+/K+-ATPase enzyme system, also known as the "proton pump," which is located in the parietal cells of the stomach lining. This enzyme is the final step in the secretion of gastric acid. By inhibiting this pump, PPIs effectively decrease the amount of acid released into the stomach, regardless of the stimulus.
PPIs are widely prescribed for a variety of gastrointestinal conditions where excess stomach acid is a contributing
