Projetaste is a neologism used to describe a framework for evaluating project ideas by combining project management with the qualitative notion of stakeholder “taste.” The approach emphasizes user-centered desirability, business viability, technical feasibility, and the practicality of execution.

The term blends the idea of a project (projeto) with the sensory metaphor of taste. It emerged in online product development communities around 2022–2023, where practitioners explored sensory and intuitive metaphors as complements to traditional evaluation criteria.

In practice, teams generate ideas and assess them against four criteria: desirability, viability, feasibility, and potential impact. Ideas are rated on a 1–5 scale, followed by lightweight validation activities such as stakeholder interviews, rapid prototyping, or small experiments to confirm assumptions.

Many implementations rely on a straightforward scoring rubric and a decision matrix; workshops and collaborative sessions are common, enabling diverse perspectives to influence prioritization. Proponents emphasize the framework’s clarity and speed in early ideation, while critics note its subjective nature and potential underweighting of formal risk assessment.

Projetaste is typically used in informal or early-stage contexts, particularly within startups, innovation teams, and design thinking projects. It functions as a complementary tool that can guide which ideas merit deeper investigation before committing to formal planning or substantial investment.
