presúva

Presúva is the third-person singular present tense form of the Slovak verb presúvať, which means to move something from one place to another, to shift or relocate. The verb presúvať is imperfective, describing ongoing, repeated, or habitual action, and it can be used in literal contexts (moving furniture) as well as figurative ones (transferring resources, duties, or attention). The prefix pre- gives a sense of moving to a position ahead or across a space, while the root súvať denotes motion or progression.

In standard present tense conjugation (imperfective), forms include: ja presúvam, ty presúvaš, on presúva, my presúvame, vy presúvate, oni presúvajú. The form presúva is used with a singular third-person subject, as in: On presúva stôl. The verb also participates in related constructions: presúvanie (the act of moving), presunúť (the perfective counterpart, to move or relocate once), and presúvať sa (to move oneself, to relocate or travel).
