predstavime
Predstavime is the non-diacritic rendering of the future tense form představíme in Czech and Slovak. Both languages use this form to mean “we will present” or “we will introduce” something or someone. The verb itself is the perfective aspect of představit, formed from the prefix před- “in front of” and stavit “to place, set,” conveying the idea of bringing something forward.
In Czech, představíme is used to announce plans or actions that will be completed in the future.
Usage notes: In written Czech and Slovak, diacritics are normally preserved; the unmarked form predstavime can
- Czech: Představíme nový produkt příští měsíc. (We will present a new product next month.)
- Slovak: Predstavíme nový produkt na tlačovej konferencii. (We will present a new product at the press
- Představujeme (we are presenting)
- Představit si (to imagine/to picture oneself)
