Porleválasztást, meaning dust separation in Hungarian, refers to the process of removing particulate matter from a gas stream. This is a crucial step in many industrial processes to improve air quality, recover valuable materials, or prevent equipment damage. Various technologies are employed for porleválasztást, each suited to different particle sizes, concentrations, and gas flow rates.

One common method is cyclonic separation. In a cyclone separator, the dusty gas is introduced tangentially into a cylindrical chamber.
