poradzisz

Poradzisz is a Polish verb form, the second-person singular future tense of the verb poradzić. It is used with the subject you (ty) understood from context and marks an action that will be carried out in the future. In ordinary speech, poradzisz most often appears in the sense of being able to cope with a task or situation.

In practice, the coping meaning is usually accompanied by the reflexive particle sobie: poradzisz sobie. For example, Poradzisz sobie z tym zadaniem, jeśli podejdziesz do niego metodycznie means you will manage that task if you approach it methodically. This usage expresses competence or the expectation that a person will handle a challenge.

A second, related sense of poradzić is to give advice or guidance. In that sense, poradzisz is used with a recipient in the dative: Co mu poradzisz? meaning What will you advise him to do? The interpretation depends on the surrounding context and how the sentence is framed.

Poradzisz is common in both spoken and written Polish, and it forms part of everyday expressions about capability or counsel. It is often contrasted with the imperfective radzić, which covers advising in a more general or ongoing sense (radzić sobie vs. poradzić sobie).
