Ponúknutie is a Slovak term meaning the act of offering something to another party. It is formed from the verb ponúknuť and is used in business and legal contexts to describe presenting goods, services, or terms for consideration. In everyday usage it can denote a simple price offer, a formal bid in procurement, or a project proposal.

Common forms include cenová ponuka (price quotation), which lists products or services, quantities, prices, delivery and payment terms, and the period of validity. In tender procedures, a ponuka is the submitted bid or proposal by a supplier in response to an invitation to tender. A ponuka may be written or, in some situations, oral.

In commercial negotiations, an offer is typically the starting point of a contract discussion. If accepted, it may form the basis of a binding contract, subject to the other terms and conditions. A counter-offer, when the offeree proposes different terms, generally terminates the original offer. The ability to revoke or withdraw an offer exists in many legal systems until it is accepted; however, irrevocable offers or offers conditional on certain events may be exceptions.

Usage notes: ponúknutie differs from related terms such as zmluva (contract) and dohoda (agreement) in that it refers specifically to the act of offering rather than the agreement itself. In public procurement, the handling of offers is typically governed by procedural rules to ensure transparency and competition.
