pintajännittäjät
Pintajännittäjät, also known as surface tension agents or surfactants, are compounds that lower the surface tension of a liquid, typically water. This reduction in surface tension allows the liquid to spread more easily and wet surfaces more effectively. Surfactants achieve this by having a unique molecular structure: they are amphiphilic, meaning they possess both a hydrophilic (water-attracting) head and a hydrophobic (water-repelling) tail. When introduced into water, these molecules arrange themselves at the surface, with their hydrophilic heads in the water and their hydrophobic tails pointing away from it, thus disrupting the cohesive forces between water molecules and lowering surface tension.
This property makes pintajännittäjät extremely useful in a wide range of applications. In detergents and soaps,
