phasegrænsen
Phasegrænsen refers to the boundary or interface between two or more distinct phases of matter. These phases can be solid, liquid, or gas, or even different solid crystalline structures or immiscible liquids. At the phasegrænsen, the physical properties of the substance change abruptly. For example, at the surface of water, the liquid phase meets the gaseous phase (air). Here, properties like density, viscosity, and molecular arrangement are significantly different between the two phases.
The concept of phasegrænsen is crucial in understanding phenomena such as melting, boiling, condensation, and sublimation.
