Petrisized is a term used to describe the process or state of becoming like stone or petrified. This phenomenon occurs when organic material, such as wood or bone, is gradually replaced by minerals in the surrounding groundwater. The mineral-rich water seeps into the porous structure of the organic material, depositing minerals that take the place of the original cells and tissues. Over long periods, this replacement process can result in a stone-like replica of the original organism, preserving its shape and even some of its cellular details.
