partitionens

Partitionens is the genitive form of the noun partition in several Scandinavian languages, most commonly Danish, Norwegian Bokmål, and Swedish. It denotes possession or association, and roughly corresponds to "the partition’s" in English. The base noun partition can refer to a physical divider in architecture, a logical division such as a disk partition in computing, or a geographic or administrative division. When the definite form partitionen is used, -s is added to form partitionens in these languages, yielding phrases like partitionens størrelse (the partition’s size) or partitionens rolle i projektet (the partition’s role in the project).
