Paperilappuja is a Finnish term that translates roughly to paper slips or notes. In general usage, a paperilappu is a small sheet or strip of paper used to convey a short message, indicate information, or label an object.

Common contexts include offices for reminders on desks or folders, classrooms for labeling student work, libraries and archives for shelf labels or temporary notes, retail settings for price tags or product information, and event settings for name tags or tickets.

Most paperilappuja are lightweight, inexpensive, and disposable. They may be blank or pre-printed with lines, headings, or spaces for contact information. Adhesive paperilappuja have a peel-and-stick backing; other varieties are attached with pins, strings, or clips.
