Padaryk is the Lithuanian imperative form of the verb padaryti, meaning “to do” or “to make.” It is used to command or urge someone to perform an action, typically translated as “do it” or “make it.” The form is addressed to the second person singular informal “tu.”

Morphology and etymology: Padaryk derives from the prefix pa- added to the verb daryti (to do). The prefix pa- often conveys completed action or a sense of achieving a result, giving padaryk a perfective nuance. The standard negative form is nepadaryk. For formal or plural address, different forms are used, such as padarykite for you (plural or formal) and nepadarykite for negative commands.

Usage: Padaryk is common in everyday speech, instructions, and imperative phrases. It carries a direct, often urgent tone and is appropriate among peers or in informal settings. The nuance contrasts with the imperfective daryti, as padaryk emphasizes completing the action.
