Oxidálószerek, also known as oxidizing agents or oxidants, are chemical substances that tend to cause oxidation in other substances. In a chemical reaction, the oxidizing agent accepts electrons from another substance, which is then oxidized. The oxidizing agent itself is reduced in the process. This electron transfer is a fundamental concept in redox (reduction-oxidation) chemistry.
