Outbound-Initiated is an employment term referring to job seekers who have been offered a new position and are formally notifying their current employer of their intention to leave the company before they begin working in the newly acquired role.

This employment action is frequently observed in hiring processes where a job seeker has accepted an offer of employment with one company before receiving an official notice that their current position has ended. The main reason for this behavior is that the employee is attempting to mitigate losses that can occur with the resignation and formal termination from their current job.
