Osmoritációt is a Hungarian term referring to the process of osmosis. Osmosis is a fundamental biological and chemical phenomenon involving the movement of solvent molecules, typically water, across a semipermeable membrane. This movement occurs from an area of higher solvent concentration to an area of lower solvent concentration, or conversely, from an area of lower solute concentration to an area of higher solute concentration. The net movement continues until equilibrium is reached, meaning the concentration of solute and solvent is roughly equal on both sides of the membrane.
