oraakkel
An oraakkel is a source of prophecies, guidance, or divine communication believed to reveal the will of a higher power. The term is used in Norwegian and other Nordic languages and derives from Latin oraculum, via Greek orakelion, and is closely related to the English word oracle. An oraakkel may be a person, such as a priest, priestess, or seer; a sacred site, like an oracle temple; or a practice, such as a ritual or form of divination.
