Olvadástartomány refers to the temperature range over which a solid substance transitions into a liquid state. For pure crystalline solids, this transition typically occurs at a specific, sharp melting point. However, many substances, particularly amorphous solids like glasses, polymers, and complex mixtures, do not melt at a single temperature. Instead, they soften and become progressively more fluid over a range of temperatures. This range is known as the olvadástartomány.
The width of the olvadástartomány can provide clues about the composition and homogeneity of a material. A
