Okulari is a small rural municipality located in the eastern part of Poland, within Lublin Voivodeship. The settlement lies approximately 12 kilometers south of the county seat, Puławy, and about 54 kilometers northwest of the regional capital Lublin. Okulari covers an area of around 23 square kilometres and is characterised by gently rolling landscapes, mixed forest, and agricultural fields.

The history of Okulari dates back to the early 14th century, when the area was first mentioned in a land grant documented by the Crown of Poland. During the Second Partition of Poland in 1793 the village fell under Austrian rule and later returned to Polish sovereignty following the formation of the Second Polish Republic in 1918. Throughout the 20th century Okulari maintained a predominantly agrarian economy, though the presence of a small artisanal weaving workshop emerged in the 1950s and operated until the early 2000s.

The local economy today is largely based on mixed farming, with dairy and crop cultivation among the main activities. A weekly market held on Wednesdays brings together farmers and craftspeople from neighbouring villages. Infrastructure in Okulari is modest; the settlement has a primary school, a community centre, and a modest health clinic that provides basic medical services to residents.

Culturally, Okulari is noted for its preservation of regional folklore and its annual harvest festival, which features traditional music, dance performances, and local cuisine. The community also participates in broader Lublin Voivodeship cultural initiatives, supporting regional heritage through cooperative exhibitions and educational programs.
