ohawk, also known as "O'hawk" or "o'hawke", is a term sometimes used informally to refer to members of the Mohawk Nation. The Mohawk are one of the original Indigenous peoples of North America and are one of the six constituent nations of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, also known as the Iroquois Confederacy. Their traditional territory encompasses parts of present-day eastern Ontario and Quebec in Canada, and northeastern New York in the United States.
The term "ohawk" is a phonetic or colloquial rendering of the nation's name. It is important to
