Närvikahjustused, also known as nerve damage, refers to any injury or disease affecting the nervous system. This can range from mild nerve irritation to severe, debilitating conditions. Treatment strategies depend on the underlying cause and severity of the damage, aiming to alleviate pain, prevent further injury, and promote nerve regeneration where possible. This can involve medication, physical therapy, occupational therapy, surgery, or lifestyle modifications. While some nerve damage can be fully reversed, others may result in long-term or permanent impairment.
