nyky

Nyky is the name of a small village situated in the southeastern part of the Rivnenska region, within the administrative boundaries of Rivnensk rural council. The settlement is characterized by its partly forested surroundings and a modest network of agricultural fields. The population, according to the 2001 census, numbered 412 residents, primarily engaged in subsistence farming and small-scale forestry. The village hosts a primary school and a community centre that serves as the local hub for social and cultural events. Historically, Nyky is recorded in regional archives dating back to the early 18th century, where it appears as a minor estate under the suzerainty of the neighboring manor of Zolotov. Over the course of the Soviet era, the settlement was incorporated into collective farming structures, a status it retained until the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991, after which it reverted to municipal governance.

Nyky is also a recognized surname of Ukrainian origin. In the last century it has been borne
